Yes, the question you may have is, are they still sick? Well, sort of... would be our best answer!
Kids have coughs and a new case of something I don't dare blog about, just that you all probably had it as kids.... So far Mom and Dad are feeling much better though.
We were blessed to host our friend from Mexico city this past Sunday - Wednesday, God bless him for daring to come around us sickies. The kids didn't quite grasp the fact that he is still young enough to be their Uncle, so they took to calling him Grandpa. I guess its been a confusing month, they have seen both Grandpa's this month, so perhaps now they think anyone who is fun and comes along to play Blue Angels airplanes with them must be a Grandpa of some sort!
Yes Blue Angels are the big thing in our house this month. I think it must have been sweet little JP who first mentioned to Joseph what a blue Angel was last month on my birthday and now all we hear is Blue Angels this and Blue Angels that. Ahh... to be 5 again!
Therese is picking up more words than we care to mention. Its quite impressive. She has surpassed both boys in the speech department.
Homeschooling has been quite unique, with this being our first offical month back but our being sick and on the road so much, the educational factor has been, a wee bit outside of the box. I think thats what we are loving about it.
We have updated some of the sidebars on this blog and included a few new tidbits. Check it out.
Ok now I leave you with some photos of Grandpa's visit last month, and a few small shots we have managed to catch in between sneezes this month!
We are 30 weeks pregnant and very excited to meet our new little one in December. May God bless the baby and keep it safe.

Latest update
To our dear friends we want to thank you for all the prayers. 2 weeks ago a bad stomach flu hit the house and we were delayed in attending our long anticipated 50th anniversary of Vincent’s parents in Oregon at Lincoln Beach. We stayed back a few days to heal up and joined our family on Saturday last week rather than Thursday when the event began.
Eileen became pretty dehydrated from the flu and then with the 2 day drive up to the coast, it wasn't easy. With pregnancy these things are always tricky. So after being with our family for a mere 6 hours Saturday, we woke up Sunday to Eileen having increasingly worse bladder and then left sided kidney pain. She was admitted to Newport, Oregon hospital to pass a kidney stone.
Ultrasound indicated it to be a large stone 9 mm and so doubts began that she could do it without surgery. We were naturally worried about this being 27 weeks pregnant and that her immunity was already so low from the flu.
Monday evening she was transferred to a hospital in Albany, Oregon which had a better OB unit and a urology department that could do the surgery. Before surgery Eileen asked if they could rescan her bladder to be sure it hadn’t moved on its own. We were all very happy to see that indeed the stone could no longer be seen and that it must have been passed.
Eileen was still in a lot of pain and being pregnant they wanted her to stay another night. She was released Tuesday mid day and we began the 2 day drive back home. Luckily Grandma and Grandpa were able to stay an extra night and help Vincent with the kids at a hotel, a huge blessing, though we were sad to miss saying goodbye to the rest of the family. We are beyond greatful to our family for all their help and support.
The drive home was hard, Eileen lay in the van most of the way but Joseph would occasionally complain of needing to throw up so that kept her bopping up and down holding him and settling his tummy. We were very happy to get home.
We arrived back on Wednesday night and while getting ready for bed Eileen noticed that one of her teeth that was bothering her in the hospital, must have cracked while eating and it began to give her a lot of pain. Luckily since Vincent was home to help her recover from the kidneys, she was able to get in right away for a consultation. They immediately wanted to do an extraction as the crack had splintered through the root. It was a very back tooth so the surgery was similar to a wisdom tooth operation and she had to have several stitches as it needed to be dug out. The surgeon remarked a few times “damn”… and then finally, “It’s a boy” as he got it out.
Eileen says it was a painless procedure and that the only thing that bothered her during it was her kidneys! We drove her home from the surgery and then the pain began. Friday she spent the day in bed pretty much unable to move around. She is very sensitive to narcotics and they made her sick and woozy.
We are now watching her veins, she has developed some hot and red spots on her legs from not moving and this can get more serious so we need to keep an eye out. Yesterday the kids got hit with round 2 of a different type of flu, and today Eileen got it. Not nearly as bad as the flu a few weeks ago, this one is more tummy and chest. So many have offered to visit, but its really best we keep you all healthy right now:)
